Christmas 2010
Yay for being home for the holidays! I love being with my family, and who couldn't adore this little cutie?
Adrienne live up by a place called Canterbury village where there are a bunch of Christmas shops and a carousel! I love how old fashioned it looks and the bright colors and warm glowing lights are magical.

For Christmas eve dinner we had a stunning feast:

Get a load of this beauty! Mom made a fantastic beef wellington fit for royalty! My mouth is watering again just looking and remembering.
Next we kept up tradition by making and frosting sugar cookies. Of course we had to have a taste tester:
I wish there were real reindeer that looked like this!
Christmas morning someone gave us a little help finding the way to the good stuff:
Ollie was patient enough to ham it up before we tore it up:
When I say "tore it up" I mean it:
Christmas was a success! I even got Carcassone from the California people! (I had the pleasure of learning that on my last visit)
For Christmas eve dinner we had a stunning feast:
Temple Square
For living in Salt Lake 3.5 years it is surprising that this was the first time I went to the Christmas lights in temple square while living there. To start the night off Jessica and I went to Crown Burger for dinner.
Following which we bundled up and headed to the school for our free student parking,
Then caught a ride on trax up to temple square which was only a block away, but a very chilly one for walking.
If you have never seen temple square at Christmas I definitely recommend it to everyone at least once in life. Even through it is bitter cold, warm fuzzies fill you up inside when you focus on the really important part of Christmas:
I love the temple! It also fills me with warm fuzzies!
And of course, Jessica fills me with warm fuzzies!
Temple square also sets up really neat paper lanterns all over the place with cool images like the scene at the manger or the wise men following the star.

Jessica really loves Christmas lights!
Thanksgiving In California
Fall 2010
So I'm catching up with the past again...
Halloween is my favorite, in case you didnt already know. For last Halloween I dressed as a zebra! One of my favorite animal print inspirations. Amanda was awesome enough to help me out with hair and makeup. She is fantastically tallented!
Amanda was also so awesome to style Jessica's hair for her fabulously creative costume idea. Can you guess what she is?
Bridezilla!!!
I think my favorite thing about being a zebra is having a tail! I made it sewing a tube of black fabric, putting a marble inside for weight and tying black yarn around the end.
I love my camera and editing pictures. I have to start thinking about what I will do this year...
After Halloween my friends threw a going away party dinner for me and Devan. I seriously miss these people!
Ain't nothing like these ladies!

Photography is Useful!
In late august my desire for and obtaining of a nice camera and taking a photography class paid off- Adrienne now gets family portrait sessions free! Now, obviously the quality and artistic edge of a professional photographer and their editing software are not my strengths... yet... so you get what you paid for ;)
I love that I get experience by photographing some of the most beautiful people... no I am not biased ;)
There are of course challenges:
Yet somehow magical moments happen:
Even when not everyone is smiling:
But especially when they are laughing:
Playing:
Or loving:
Even walking:
Jumping:
Or yelling:
Hugging:
Or sleeping:
And Ive never seen someone so cute when they're eating:
And I got some donuts and cider too at one of my favorite places:
Or sleeping:
